Terms of Service & Shipping Policy.
VAT & Taxes

Switzerland: VAT is collected at checkout.

All other countries: VAT, import taxes and customs fees are not collected by us. You’ll pay them to your local carrier/customs on delivery. These amounts are not controlled by Tactic Vans.
Dispatch Schedule (CET/CEST)

Orders placed by Monday 12:00 → ship Tuesday.

Orders placed Monday 12:00 – Thursday 12:00 → ship Friday.
Orders that include out‑of‑stock items ship together once all items are ready. If you want in‑stock items sooner, please place two separate orders.
Delivery Times & Methods

Typical transit: 4–14 days depending on destination and customs.

We use reliable carriers; a tracking number is provided for every shipment.

Unforeseen events (customs inspections, weather, strikes, etc.) can delay delivery. We start investigating a delay 14 days after the ship date.
Our Shipping Subsidy (Transparency)

Swiss shipping is expensive. To keep prices fair, we subsidise roughly half of the outbound shipping cost.

The amount you see at checkout is below the actual carrier charge. We pay the difference.
Important for Returns

If you return an order, your refund will be reduced by the full actual outbound shipping cost we paid, not the subsidised amount you paid at checkout. We will provide the carrier invoice for the label for full transparency.

For some non‑European destinations, the actual carrier cost can be significantly higher than the checkout amount. Please consider this before purchasing/returning.
Returns & Exchanges Policy

Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery.

Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging with all parts and documentation.

Custom, made‑to‑order, or clearance items are final sale unless defective.
How to Start a Return (RMA Required)

We’ll issue an RMA number and instructions.

Send the item back using a trackable method and share the tracking number.
Costs Deducted from Refunds

Actual outbound shipping cost we paid to the carrier (invoice provided).

Payment processing fees: non‑refundable – Stripe 3.6% / PayPal 3.9% of the order total.

Restocking fee: 3% (covers packaging, inspection, and return handling).

Any import duties/taxes we incur due to incorrectly marked returns.

Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
Refused/Undeliverable Packages: If you refuse delivery or a parcel is returned as undeliverable, we deduct: actual outbound shipping + carrier return charges + any duties/taxes + payment fees + 3% restocking.
Marking International Returns (Critical)
To avoid import charges on returns to Switzerland, clearly mark the parcel and customs documents:

Include your RMA number and the original outbound tracking number.

Declare a nominal value as per local requirements and indicate reason: return. If the parcel is not marked correctly and we’re charged duties/VAT, those amounts will be deducted from your refund.
Processing Time

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect the return.

Refunds go to the original payment method.
Example Calculation (for clarity)

You paid: Product CHF 200 + Checkout Shipping CHF 25.

We actually paid carrier: CHF 58 (we subsidised CHF 33).
-
On return, we deduct: CHF 58 (actual outbound) + 3% restocking (CHF 6) + Stripe 3.6% (CHF 7.20) = CHF 71.20 total deductions.

Refund = CHF 200 – 71.20 = CHF 128.80 (assuming no duties/return freight owed).
Order Cancellations (Before Shipping)
When an order is placed and then cancelled — even immediately — our payment processors keep their fees. Therefore, for any cancelled order we deduct:

3.6% for Stripe payments

3.9% for PayPal payments
These amounts are retained by Stripe/PayPal and are not reimbursed to us. Please keep this in mind, especially for high‑value orders.
Warranty (2 Years)
Coverage: Tactic Vans warrants products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 2 years from the purchase date. Applies to the original purchaser only and is non‑transferable.
Limitations: Not covered: misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, improper installation, unauthorised modifications/repairs, normal wear, cosmetic damage, or circumstances beyond our control.
Assessment: We may request proof of purchase, photos/video, and installation details. Tactic Vans determines warranty coverage at its sole discretion.
Remedies: At our discretion we will repair, replace (new or refurbished), or refund the purchase price.
Shipping for Warranty: Contact us before sending anything. We’ll provide instructions. You’re responsible for getting the product to us for inspection; if the claim is approved, we cover outbound shipping of the repaired/replacement unit back to you.
Disclaimer: Except as stated, no other express or implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for purpose, non‑infringement). To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.
Policy Changes: We may update warranty terms. Changes apply to purchases after the effective date and are posted on our website.
Using or purchasing our products constitutes acceptance of these terms. This does not affect your statutory rights where applicable.
FAQ
Why isn’t shipping free?
We’d rather price products honestly and subsidise shipping transparently than hide costs. Swiss logistics are expensive; we pay roughly half of the real shipping so your checkout price stays fair.
If I return my order, why do you deduct more shipping than I paid?
Because we subsidised your outbound shipping. On returns, we deduct the actual carrier cost we paid (invoice provided). For some destinations, that can be much higher than the checkout amount.
How do I avoid extra charges on an international return?
Mark the parcel “RETURNED GOODS – NO COMMERCIAL VALUE”, include the RMA and original tracking number, and declare the shipment as a return. If customs charges us duty/VAT due to incorrect marking, we deduct it from your refund.
What if my package is delayed?
Most parcels arrive within 4–14 days. We open a carrier investigation 14 days after the ship date if it hasn’t moved.
Do you ship partial orders?
No. Mixed availability orders ship together when all items are ready. Want in‑stock items sooner? Please place two orders.
Can I exchange instead of refund?
Yes—request an RMA, send back the item in new condition, and place a new order. Refunds follow the deductions listed above.
What’s not returnable?
Used/installed items, items without original packaging, custom or made‑to‑order parts, and clearance items (unless defective).
My product arrived damaged or defective—what now?
Email info@tacticvans.com within 7 days of delivery with photos/video and your order number. We’ll prioritise a solution under the 1‑year warranty if applicable.
Can I cancel my order before it ships?
Yes, but payment fees are non‑refundable (Stripe 3.6% / PayPal 3.9%).
Which carriers do you use?
We choose the best option by destination and size/weight. Every parcel includes tracking.
