We spec a special gauge of aluminum — more expensive than the common thicknesses — so the box is both ultra-rugged AND lightweight. You don’t pay a weight penalty for the durability.

The exterior gear cage adds an exoskeleton for additional mounting options — lash straps, traction boards, awning poles, whatever the trip needs.
