Best Porsche Cayenne (2024+) Phone Mount in 2026. Why Every Option Falls Short (Except One)

The 2024 Cayenne moved the gear selector to the dash and turned the centre console into a glass control panel with a rubber-lined tray at the end of it. Porsche did that to clear the console. Every generic phone mount then tries to clutter it again. Here is what exists for the facelift Cayenne, what each option does to the interior, and what we built instead.

Key takeaways

  • Screen-edge clamps hang a phone off the central display bezel. The bezel was not designed for it, and the phone covers part of the screen
  • Brodit and similar brackets lever into trim gaps. They hold, and they stay visible from outside the car
  • The lidded charging slot in the console hides the phone. You cannot read a map on a phone you cannot see
  • The Tactic Engineering mount push-fits into the open console tray. TPU contact surfaces, no adhesive, no drilling
  • Phone upright at the end of the glass panel, in reach, Qi2 charger included, up to 25 W. Or a Quad Lock head
  • Scanned from the facelift console at 0.1 mm. Left-hand and right-hand drive versions
  • Fits every 2024, 2025 and 2026 Cayenne and Cayenne Coupé. Not the 2018 to 2023 car, which has its own mount

The facelift Cayenne interior problem

The 2024 update gave the Cayenne the Taycan cockpit. Curved instrument display, a wide central screen, an optional passenger screen, the gear selector on the dash and a centre console that is one glass surface with haptic climate controls. At the end of that panel sits a shallow, rubber-lined tray. Under a lid ahead of it sits the wireless charging slot.

Screen-edge clamps are what Amazon serves when you search for a 2024 Cayenne phone holder. A hook over the display bezel, a plastic arm, a magnet plate. The bezel is a trim part on a screen that cost Porsche a fortune to integrate. The clamp loads it from one side, and the phone then covers a slice of the display you paid for.

Dash brackets like the Brodit ProClip lever into a gap between trim panels. The fit is decent. The bracket is also visible from outside the car, and it lives in a gap Porsche left for thermal movement.

Vent clips have nowhere to go. The facelift's vents are slim slots above the console. A clip grips one thin vane, wobbles under braking and relaxes in summer heat.

And the leather. Anything that rests on a leather or Race-Tex surface shields it from UV. The rest of the panel keeps ageing. After a year the outline of the mount is there, and it does not come out. On the light interiors Porsche offers to show off the hide, it is obvious.

The lidded charging slot avoids all of it by hiding the phone. Close the lid and the phone is gone. So is the map, the call, the message. Open the lid and the phone lies flat, facing the roof, reachable only by looking away from the road.

The honest assessment of each option

Screen-edge clamps

Cheap, fast to ship, and the first thing most owners try. The hook rests on the bezel of the central display and the phone hangs beside or over the screen. Every pothole is a lever on the bezel. The magnet plates that come with them are not Qi2, so there is no charging. They look like what they are.

Brodit ProClip

ProClip lists brackets for the 2024 Cayenne, and the engineering is honest: it levers into a trim gap and stays put. Add a MagSafe holder and you are past €100. You also live with a black plastic bracket on the dash of a car whose interior you specified line by line.

Vent clips

The facelift's vents are slim slots. A clip gets one vane. In a two-tonne-plus SUV on a mountain road, one vane is not a mount. The clip also blocks the airflow it is clamped to.

Dash pads and suction mounts

They hold until the first hot afternoon or cold morning. A pad on the dash sits on leather and leaves a footprint. A cup on the windscreen puts the phone in your sight line and in view of everyone outside.

The factory charging slot

Porsche put the charger under a lid in the console. It keeps the cabin tidy. It also keeps the phone invisible. Fine if you never look at the phone and run everything through PCM. Not fine if you use Waze, take calls on video or want to see who is messaging. The phone also lies flat, so the camera bump on recent iPhones decides how well it charges.

DIY 3D prints

Desktop FDM nylon or PLA warps at the temperature a black Cayenne reaches in a July car park. Layer lines show, nothing tilts, nothing charges. The idea is right. The material and the tools are not.

What we built

The open tray at the end of the glass panel is where the phone belongs. It is central, it is at hand, it is below the screen and above the cupholders, and it is lined in rubber rather than leather. So we built a base for it.

We scanned the facelift console at 0.1 mm and shaped a base that push-fits into the tray. Friction holds it. TPU contact surfaces keep the rubber liner unmarked and the base silent. On top sits the head you choose. The MagSafe variant ships complete with a Qi2 charger, up to 25 W over USB-C with a braided cable: iPhone 12 and newer, Qi2 Android phones, any MagSafe case up to 3 mm. For full speed, plug it into a 30 W or stronger USB-C PD source. The Quad Lock variant is a sintered-nylon adapter for the Quad Lock MAG charging head you already own.

Push the base into the tray. Plug in USB-C. Snap the phone on. That is the installation. The lidded charging slot stays free for a second phone or for AirPods.

Fit

Made for the facelift console

Scanned at 0.1 mm. Push-fits into the tray, sits flush, looks like it belongs there. LHD and RHD versions.

Charge

Qi2 up to 25 W, MagSafe

Snap on, charge. iPhone 12 and newer, Qi2 Android. Quad Lock head as an alternative.

Hold

Magnetic Qi2 alignment

The phone snaps on and stays put on a pass road and on a gravel track.

Contact

Nothing touches the leather

No bezel, no vent, no dash. TPU surfaces inside a rubber-lined tray. Reversible in seconds.

Origin

Made in Switzerland

Sintered PA12 nylon, laser sintered in our own workshop. No warping in summer, no cracking in alpine cold. 2-year warranty, spares always available.

MagSafe means one hand on, one hand off. The phone snaps on and starts charging. Pull it off when you leave the car. Snap it back when you return.

Leather fading, in one paragraph

Porsche leather ages through UV exposure. Cover part of a panel with a mount and the shielded area fades at a different rate than the rest. After 12 to 18 months the outline is visible and cannot be reversed. A mount that lives inside the rubber-lined console tray makes no contact with any leather surface. The problem does not exist.

Compatibility: Porsche Cayenne facelift, 2024 to 2026

The rule: if your Cayenne has the gear selector on the dash and the glass climate panel in the console, it is the facelift and this mount fits. The console is identical across the range.

Who this is for

Daily drivers on CarPlay

PCM is good. You still use Waze or Google Maps, and you still take calls. This keeps the phone upright, in reach and charged, without covering any of the screen you paid for.

Light interior owners

The facelift sells with the lightest hides Porsche offers. A bracket footprint on them is visible in a year. A mount inside the rubber tray never touches them.

Families and two-phone households

The mount takes one phone upright. The lidded factory slot stays free for the second one. Nobody fights over the cable.

Owners who have tried everything else

A clamp on the screen bezel, a suction cup that fell on the first cold morning, a phone forgotten under the lid. This is the mount you were looking for when you bought those.

Frequently asked questions

Does it fit the 2018 to 2023 Cayenne?

No. The facelift redesigned the centre console. We make a separate mount for the pre-facelift car: Cayenne 2018 to 2023 phone mount.

Does it fit the Cayenne Coupé?

Yes. The Coupé shares the facelift console. 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Does it fit the E-Hybrid and Turbo E-Hybrid?

Yes. All trims share the same console: Cayenne, S, E-Hybrid, S E-Hybrid, GTS and Turbo E-Hybrid.

Left-hand drive or right-hand drive?

Both. The tray is not symmetrical, so the base is handed. Choose LHD or RHD when ordering.

How does the install work?

Push the base into the console tray until it seats. Plug the USB-C cable into a console port. Snap the phone on. No tools, no adhesive, no drilling. Under a minute, and fully reversible.

Do I lose the factory charging slot?

No. The mount lives in the open tray. The lidded slot stays free.

Will it mark the tray or the leather?

No. The base rests on TPU contact surfaces inside a rubber-lined tray and touches nothing else. Lift it out and the console is as Porsche built it.

Does it work with Android phones?

Yes. Any Qi2 Android phone snaps on and charges. For phones without Qi2 magnets, a MagSafe-compatible case adds the alignment ring. Any case up to 3 mm works.

I already own a Quad Lock charging head. Which variant?

The Quad Lock variant. Same Cayenne base, with a sintered-nylon adapter that takes the Quad Lock MAG wireless charging head. You bring the head and the case.

Where is it made?

Switzerland. We scan the consoles, design the mounts and sinter the nylon in our own workshop. Two-year warranty, spare parts always available.

Ready to fit your Cayenne?

A phone mount scanned from the facelift Cayenne console. Swiss made, push-fits in a minute, charges at up to 25 W, and never touches a surface Porsche intended to be left alone.
