Mercedes Sprinter 907 Ergonomic Door Handle — 3D-Printed Grip
A single-piece SLS Nylon 12 interior grab handle for Sprinter 907 cab doors that left the factory without one. It bolts into the existing anchor points, with stainless screws supplied, in under five minutes per door.
The factory left the mounting points. It did not leave the handle.
Mercedes builds the 907 Sprinter in dozens of configurations. Some leave Düsseldorf with an interior grab handle in the driver and passenger door panel. Many — particularly base trims, panel vans and certain export markets — leave without one. The mounting points are there. The handle is not.
Every climb into the cab is then a reach for the steering wheel, the seat bolster or the A-pillar trim. None of those were designed to be pulled on.
Ordering the OEM part from Mercedes means a dealer trip, a parts number lookup and a wait that is rarely under two weeks. We made the one we wanted to install in our own 907.
One piece, no seams
Laser-sintered from Nylon 12 as a single part. Nothing bonded, nothing to come apart.
Factory anchor points
No drilling, no template, no trim removal beyond what the screws ask for.
Sized for real hands
Diameter set for adult hands in gloves. Most handles are sized for the smallest possible hand.
Stainless steel screws
Supplied in the box. Corrosion-proof against the salt that ends up everywhere over winter.
Fitment. Read this before ordering.
Fits
Does not fit
Open the cab door and look at the panel. Bare mounting points and no handle means this one fits. Still unsure — send us a photo of the door panel and we will confirm.
Read this before you pull on it.
The handle is strong. The Mercedes door panel it bolts to is sheet metal. The weak link is not our part — it is the panel, which every van manufacturer keeps as thin as possible to save weight.
This is a grab handle for an adult of average build pulling themselves into the cab. It is not a roof rack you can hang from. Heavier users, or anyone with a habit of yanking instead of pulling, should know that the door panel can flex or deform before the handle does.
A step-in assist, not full body weight support. That is true of any handle bolted to a Sprinter door panel — ours or Mercedes'.
The material
- Nylon 12, laser-sintered. Industrial SLS printing, not desktop filament. Isotropic strength in every direction, which means it does not split along the print layers the way cheaper FDM parts do.
- UV-stable. Heat-stable. The same plastic family used in aerospace fixtures and medical device housings. An Alpine summer or a Swedish winter sits inside its working range, not at the edge of it.
- Stainless steel fasteners. Corrosion-proof against road salt.
- Made properly. Industrial SLS printer, inert nitrogen atmosphere, powder recycling, hand-finished in our Swiss workshop.
They exist. They fade, warp and split along the layer lines within a season. That is a property of the process, not of the seller.
In the kit
- 1× or 2× SLS Nylon 12 interior door handles, depending on the variant selected
- Stainless steel mounting screws per handle
