Magnetic Mounts for Curved Surfaces — MaxTrax MK2 / LITE / XTREME
Mount your MaxTrax on roofs, hoods and sloping panels where flat mounts will not sit. Adjustable joints conform to the curvature, so all four magnets make full contact.
Built for the panels that are not flat
Our standard MaxTrax mounts are designed for flat surfaces. This kit is for everything else — curved roofs, sloping hoods and any non-flat panel where you want to carry your recovery boards. The magnets sit on adjustable joints that conform to the surface curvature, giving you full contact and maximum hold.
Four rubberized magnets
56 kg pull force each. Pull force is measured when pulling straight off the surface. In real-world use, lateral forces — pushing or pulling sideways — are around 17 kg per magnet.
Adjustable joints
Each magnet pivots to conform to curved and uneven surfaces.
MaxTrax MK2, LITE, XTREME
Pins included. They insert into the MaxTrax board recesses and snap into place. Supports two boards.
Protection stickers included
Transparent paint protection stickers go on the vehicle before mounting.
Installation
- Apply the included transparent stickers on your vehicle to protect the paint before mounting.
- Insert the magnets into your MaxTrax board recesses and let them snap into place.
- Position the boards on the curved surface — the adjustable joints conform to the curvature.
- No tools needed.
An optional anti-theft cable with marine-grade lock, sold separately, secures your boards on exposed surfaces like roofs and hoods.

Will it hold on your vehicle?

How they are made
Engineered in Switzerland and manufactured in carbon fiber reinforced plastic through 3D printing. Each part is inspected and tested to withstand high temperatures and heavy loads. Minor surface imperfections may be visible due to the manufacturing process. They do not affect performance.
