All-aluminum expedition storage box from OWL Vans — same footprint as the standard Large Expedition box, with the Monster’s clamshell details.
Overview
The only thing mini about this box is its name. The Mini-Monster is the same size as the standard Large Expedition box — the most popular van box in the world — and carries over the details that made the XL Monster so popular: the storage capacity, the clamshell opening, and the work table.
It is constructed entirely of aluminum, pre-drilled for the B2, and trail-tested to last a lifetime.
Built for the trail
Dual-fold door
The bottom door folds down into a stable working area for a grill, food prep, or other tasks. The top door folds up and allows for use of an LED light — tap it and your work area is lit at night.
Gear Plates
The front carries OWL’s signature hole-and-slot design, so you can mount your must-have small trail accessories.
Lightweight aluminum
All-aluminum construction keeps the box light — less than 27 kg.
Adjustable shelf
Comes standard with an adjustable shelf that moves up and down. Additional shelves can be purchased separately.

Mounting & fitment
While the Mini-Monster can mount to almost anything, it is pre-drilled for the OWL B2 — the recommended mounting structure. Confirm your setup against the product images before ordering.
The dual-fold door does not work with a top-mounted “Gear Cage.” A new Gear Cage is in development.
