Best INEOS Grenadier Phone Mount in 2026. Why Every Option Falls Short (Except One)
The Grenadier dash is a wall of physical switches, a grab handle and a windscreen that stands almost upright. It was built to be hosed out, not to be clipped to. Generic phone mounts were designed for a sloping dash, a round vent and a windscreen you can reach. The Grenadier has none of those. Here is what Grenadier owners bolt, stick and clamp to their dash, what each option costs them on a corrugated track, and what we built instead.
Key takeaways
- Suction cups on the Grenadier's upright windscreen put the phone out of reach and in your sight line, and they let go in heat and cold
- Vent clips rattle loose on corrugations. The Grenadier's vents were not built to carry 250 g over washboard
- RAM ball platforms hold. Most of them bolt through the dash with new holes, or sit on a plate that covers the dash top
- The Tactic Engineering mount bolts to four factory screw points between the seat heating and fan knobs. Longer screws in the box. Nothing drilled
- Tiltable head, phone in your sight line, Qi2 charger included, up to 25 W. Or a Quad Lock head, or a 1-inch ball for the RAM arm you already own
- Sintered nylon and stainless hardware. Magnetic Qi2 alignment. The phone snaps on and stays put on gravel and on rock
- Fits every Grenadier, left-hand and right-hand drive
The Grenadier dash problem
INEOS designed the Grenadier cabin for abuse. Rubber floors with drain plugs. Switches you can work with gloves. An overhead panel for the auxiliary circuits. A dash top with a grab handle for the passenger and a row of physical knobs for seat heating, fan and temperature. It is one of the few modern interiors with nothing to clip a phone to, which is a compliment to the designers and a problem for you.
Suction cups want a windscreen within reach. The Grenadier's glass is nearly vertical and far from the driver. A phone on it is a stretch to touch and sits in the view of the road. The cup lets go on a hot afternoon or a frozen morning, usually mid-track.
Vent clips want a louvre that was designed to carry load. The Grenadier's vents were not. On corrugations a clip walks itself loose within the hour, and the vane it hangs on is the part that breaks first.
RAM ball platforms are what the overland community uses, and for good reason: a ball and an arm hold a phone through anything. The problem is the base. Most Grenadier platforms either drill new holes through the dash or sit as a plate across the dash top, covering the surface and the grab handle area. They also start at around 100 dollars before you add the arm and the cradle.
Adhesive and magnet pads want a flat, smooth surface. The Grenadier's dash is textured and wipe-clean. Pads lift at the edges in summer, leave residue when they go, and hold 250 g of phone over washboard for about a week.
The factory tray on the dash top holds a phone flat. It also holds it out of your sight line, sliding, and uncharged.

The honest assessment of each option
Suction cups
They work in a hatchback because the glass is close and sloped. In the Grenadier the windscreen is nearly vertical and a long reach away. The phone ends up high, far and in your view of the road. Temperature swings release the cup. The fall is onto a dash full of switches.
Vent clips
The cheapest route and the first to fail. A clip grips one vane. On tarmac it wobbles. On corrugations it walks loose. The vane is the first thing to break, and it is not a part you want to be replacing on a vehicle built to go where parts are far away.
RAM ball dash platforms
The right concept. Agile Offroad, Bison Gear and others make solid bases, and a RAM arm with an X-Grip or a Quad Lock cradle holds a phone through anything. Two costs. First, the base: most either drill the dash or sit as a plate across the dash top, which covers the surface and changes the look. Second, the bill: base, arm, cradle and a charger if you want one add up fast. If you already own the arm and cradle, keep them and read on. Our cheapest variant is a 1-inch ball on factory screws.
Adhesive and magnet pads
The Grenadier dash is textured for a reason. Adhesive does not like texture. The pad lifts at the edges within a season, holds a phone through washboard for about a week, and leaves residue behind.
The factory dash tray
Good for a wallet. For a phone it is a slide, out of your sight line and without charging. Use it for what it is.
DIY 3D prints
Grenadier forums have STL files for dash brackets, which tells you the demand is real. Desktop FDM prints warp in the heat a parked Grenadier reaches and vibrate on corrugations until the layers separate. Right idea, wrong material.
What we built
Between the seat heating and fan knobs on the Grenadier dash there are four factory screws. INEOS put them there to hold the trim. We use them to hold a phone mount. Remove the four screws, fit the mount bracket, and secure it with the longer screws supplied in the kit. Nothing else changes. No adhesive, no suction, no clips, no new holes. Take the mount off and the dash is as INEOS built it.
On top of the bracket sits a tiltable head. Set the viewing angle once and forget it. Then choose how the phone attaches. The MagSafe variant ships complete with a Qi2 charger, up to 25 W over USB-C with a braided cable: iPhone 12 and newer, Qi2 Android phones, any MagSafe case up to 3 mm. For full speed, plug it into a 30 W or stronger USB-C PD source. The Quad Lock variant is a sintered-nylon adapter for the Quad Lock MAG charging head you already own. The 1-inch ball variant ends in a 25.4 mm ball, RAM size B, fused to the mount body. It takes any RAM arm or third-party 1-inch socket. You bring the arm and the cradle.
Four screws out. Four longer screws in. Plug in USB-C. Snap the phone on. That is the installation, and it survives the Grenadier's natural habitat.

Factory screw points only
Four screws already in the dash do the work. Longer screws are in the box. Nothing drilled, nothing stuck.
Tiltable head
Set your viewing angle once. The phone sits where you look, not where the vent happens to be.
Magnetic Qi2 alignment
The phone snaps on and stays put on tarmac, on gravel, on rock steps and on washboard.
Qi2, Quad Lock or RAM
Qi2 charger included, up to 25 W. Or a Quad Lock adapter, or a 1-inch ball for the arm you already own.
Made in Switzerland
Sintered PA12 nylon and stainless hardware, made in our own workshop. No warping in heat, no cracking in cold. 2-year warranty, spares always available.
MagSafe means one hand on, one hand off, with gloves. The phone snaps on and starts charging. Pull it off when you stop. Snap it back when you move.
INEOS Grenadier Phone Mount
Bolts to factory screw points · Tiltable · Qi2 up to 25 W, Quad Lock head or 1-inch ball · LHD and RHD · All Grenadier models
Keep it. The 1-inch ball variant is the Grenadier bracket finished with a 25.4 mm ball, RAM size B, in sintered nylon fused to the body. Your arm and cradle bolt to a base on factory screws instead of a plate on the dash. It is also the least expensive variant.
Compatibility: every INEOS Grenadier
The rule: four factory screws sit between the seat heating and fan control knobs on the dash. If your Grenadier has them, and every Grenadier does, this mount fits. Drive side is a variant choice.

Who this is for
Overlanders on corrugations
Washboard shakes vent clips loose and lifts adhesive pads. Four factory screws and magnetic Qi2 alignment do not move. The phone is still there at the end of the track.
Owners who already run RAM
You have the arm and the cradle. The 1-inch ball variant gives them a base on factory screws instead of a drilled plate, for less than most plates cost.
Daily drivers and tradespeople
Navigation, calls, site photos. The phone sits in your sight line, charged, and comes off with one gloved hand.
Owners who will not drill the dash
A Grenadier holds its value. A dash with extra holes does not. This mount leaves the dash as INEOS built it.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need drilling?
No. Four factory screws between the seat heating and fan knobs hold the trim. Remove them, fit the bracket, and secure it with the longer screws in the kit. Take it off and the dash is as INEOS built it.
Does it fit the Quartermaster and the Utility Wagon?
Yes. The dash is the same across the Grenadier range. Choose your drive side when ordering.
Left-hand drive or right-hand drive?
Both. The bracket is handed, so choose LHD or RHD when ordering.
Does it hold on corrugations and rock?
Yes. Magnetic Qi2 alignment on a bracket bolted to the dash. The phone snaps on and stays put on washboard, on rock steps and on tarmac. You pull it off; it does not fall off.
I already own a RAM arm and X-Grip. Which variant?
The 1-inch ball. It ends in a 25.4 mm ball, RAM size B, that takes any RAM arm or third-party 1-inch socket. You keep your arm and cradle. It is the least expensive variant.
I already own a Quad Lock charging head. Which variant?
The Quad Lock variant. Same Grenadier bracket with a sintered-nylon adapter that takes the Quad Lock MAG wireless charging head. You bring the head and the case. Fitting the head takes five minutes; there is a walkthrough on the product page.
Does it work with Android phones?
Yes. Any Qi2 Android phone snaps on and charges. For phones without Qi2 magnets, a MagSafe-compatible case adds the alignment ring. Any case up to 3 mm works.
Where does the power come from?
The included charger runs on USB-C. Plug it into a USB-C PD outlet in the Grenadier or a 12 V to USB-C adapter. A 30 W or stronger USB-C PD source gives full speed, for example our 30W Mini USB-C Car Charger.
Where is it made?
Switzerland. We design the mounts and sinter the nylon in our own workshop. Stainless hardware. Two-year warranty, spare parts always available.
Ready to fit your Grenadier?
A phone mount drawn for the Grenadier dash. Swiss made, bolts to four factory screws, tilts to your eye line, charges at up to 25 W, and leaves the dash exactly as INEOS built it.
