Max Trax Quick Release Upgrade
Quick-release pins that replace the screw-in tops on your existing magnetic supports. Half the access time to your recovery boards.
What you get
2 or 4 quick-release pins
Each pin comes with the plastic part that goes into the Max Trax support hole, and the bolt it needs. Choose the count at checkout.
Buy two, not four
Keep the previous version on the other two mounts if that feels safer against theft. Access time to your boards still drops by half.
Any rack you choose
You can install this on any rack. Source your own M8 screws — we cannot know how thick your panel is.
Magnets not included
This is an upgrade kit for supports you already own. It does not include the magnets.
Swapping it onto your existing supports
The chrome cylinder on your current supports is tightened with Loctite, so it can be hard to unscrew. Take your time and do this properly, so you do not hurt yourself or damage the parts.
- 1. Remove the magnetic supports from the Max Trax recovery boards.
- 2. With the magnets, chrome cylinder and black spacer in hand — plastic top screw not installed — put some tape, duct tape works, on the upper part of the cylinders.
- 3. Hold the magnet with one hand. With the other, apply pressure on the taped section with a clamp and unscrew it.
Do not use the plastic spacer to untighten the chrome cylinder. You will damage it.
