Fiat Ducato Phone Holder (2014-2021) and Ram ProMaster Phone Mount: The Complete Guide
Between 2014 and 2021 the Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper (Relay in the UK), Peugeot Boxer and Ram ProMaster came off the line with the same cab and the same round cup holder in the centre of the dashboard. That cup holder is the most solid, most central and least intrusive place for a phone in this van. This guide covers every badge and year it fits, how to tell your generation in ten seconds, the five-minute install without drilling, motorhomes, and how it compares with suction cups, vent clips and dash brackets.

Searching under another name? Fiat Ducato 250 / X290, Ducato Maxi, Citroën Relay, Peugeot Manager (Mexico) and Ram ProMaster are badges of the same cab family. The badge does not decide the fit. The cup holder does.
Fiat Ducato pre-2022 & Ram ProMaster Phone Mount →How to tell your generation: the cup holder check
Forget the registration document for a moment. Motorhomes are often registered a year or more after the chassis was built, and the badge changes from market to market. Look at the centre of the dashboard instead. This mount fits when you see all three:
- A round cup holder in the centre of the dashboard, near the radio.
- A step running through the middle of the cup holder.
- A TX25 Torx screw at the bottom of the cup holder.
In 2014 the facelift gave these vans a new cup holder built into the central console, which is the one this mount is shaped to. The 2021 facelift (model year 2022) brought a new dashboard with a different cup holder: that van needs the Fiat Ducato 2022+ Phone Mount. On 2014-2021 vans the centre cup holder was not fitted to every version, as some came with a storage compartment in its place. If yours has the compartment and no cup holder, this mount does not fit as is.
Not sure? Email a photo of your cup holder to team@tacticengineering.com and we will tell you which mount fits.

How to fit it, step by step (no drilling)
- Empty the cup holder and find the TX25 Torx screw at the bottom.
- Remove the screw with a TX25 driver. Keep it: it holds the mount.
- Seat the mount in the cup holder. It is shaped to the cup holder, so it only goes in one way.
- Refit the screw through the mount and tighten it until the base is firm.
- Plug in the charger to a USB-C source, set the angle on the ball joint, lock it with the knurled grip, and snap the phone on.
About five minutes. Nothing is cut, drilled or glued. Take it out and the cup holder is exactly as it left the factory, which matters at resale, on lease and fleet vans, and on motorhomes with a warranty on the interior.

What makes this mount different
Shaped to one cup holder
Not a universal clamp. The base is designed around this cup holder, so it sits low and central, clear of the radio, the vents and the windscreen.
SLS PA12 nylon, made in Ticino
Printed by selective laser sintering in PA12 nylon and finished in our workshop in Ticino, Switzerland. Stable in summer cab heat and winter cold, no creaking.
Ball joint with knurled grip
Set the angle for your seat position and lock it with the knurled grip. It stays where you set it on cobbles and gravel.
Qi2 / MagSafe up to 15 W
Qi2 charger included. The magnets line the phone up and hold it; charging runs up to 15 W while you navigate.
30W USB-C charger
For full speed, the Qi2 head needs a USB-C PD source of 30 W or more. Our 30W Mini USB-C Car Charger sits flush in the 12 V socket.
Repairable
2-year warranty in Switzerland and the EU, 1 year elsewhere. Every part is available as a spare at a fair price.

Portrait or landscape?
Both. The MagSafe ring lets you rotate the phone on the head, and the ball joint sets the tilt. Most drivers run landscape for navigation, because the map shows more road ahead, and portrait for calls, music and messages. Because the mount sits low in the centre, the phone stays out of your view of the road in either orientation.
Motorhomes and camper vans that keep the cup holder
A large share of European motorhomes is built on the Ducato, Jumper and Boxer, and on 2014-2021 builds the mount fits as long as the original cup holder is still in the dashboard. This is usually the case on camper vans and on coachbuilt (semi-integrated and low-profile) models, which keep the van cab. Brands commonly built on these chassis include Hymer, Adria, Pilote, Rapido, Chausson, Carthago, Bürstner, Dethleffs, Knaus, Laika, Roller Team and Pössl.
Two things to check. Fully integrated (A-class) motorhomes often have their own dashboard from the converter, so check that the factory cup holder is there. And go by the cab, not the registration year: a motorhome registered in 2022 can sit on a 2021 chassis with the older dashboard.
Ram ProMaster phone mount (model years 2014-2024)
The Ram ProMaster 1500, 2500 and 3500 share this cab with the European Ducato. The mount fits from the 2014 model year up to and including the 2024 model year, and on ProMaster camper builds that keep the factory cup holder. The ProMaster City is a different van and does not fit. US buyers can also order the same fit as the Ram ProMaster Phone Mount. Shipping to the US is free from $279.
Compared with generic phone holders
| Type | Install | Charging | On rough roads | Leaves the van |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Windscreen suction cup | Sticks to the glass | Some models | Drops in heat, phone far away | Marks, blocks view |
| Vent clip | Clips onto the vent | Some models | Wobbles, blocks the air | Can bend the vanes |
| Adhesive dash pad | Glued to the dash | Some models | Slips on textured plastic | Glue residue |
| Model-specific dash bracket | Clips into dash seams | Needs an extra holder | Solid | Clean, separate base per generation |
| Factory dash tablet holder | Replaces the flip-up clipboard | No | Solid | Clean, costly dealer part |
| Tactic cup holder mount | One factory TX25 screw | Qi2 up to 15 W included | Solid, ball joint locked | Clean, back to factory |
Suction cups and vent clips are cheap because they are universal, and that is also why they move on a Ducato: a big, upright windscreen far from the driver, and vents you need in summer and winter. Model-specific dash brackets are solid but need a separate phone holder and charger. The cup holder mount is the only option here that combines a factory-shaped base, a charger in the head and a reversible fit on the original screw.
