Inspired by the Lockheed Martin B-2 silhouette, our Winter and Summer Sports Carrier is built from aerospace-grade aluminum, laser-cut and powder-coated for precision and durability. Designed and assembled in Switzerland.

This system was created to solve the two major drawbacks found in traditional solutions:

1. Roof bars are expensive and vehicle-specific. When you change your car, you need to buy a new set, usually above 400 EUR/USD. You also can’t lend your ski rack to others because roof bars aren’t universal.

2. Vacuum-mounted solutions are clever and currently the only option for panoramic glass roofs like Tesla, but they come with major downsides. They require perfectly clean surfaces, constant pumping, and continuous monitoring to ensure the vacuum holds.

3. Our magnetic system eliminates all of this. It’s cost-effective compared to roof bars, completely universal and can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. Even if one magnet detaches for a moment, it reattaches immediately as soon as it touches metal again. This kit uses 12 magnets with a direct pull force of 56 kg each. The strength is not redundant, it’s intentionally extreme so you can drive with total confidence.

You can order this kit in three configurations:

1. Without the Thule SnowPack, if you already own one or can source it at a better price.

2. With the Thule SnowPack M in black (50 cm loading width).

3. With the Thule SnowPack L in black (75 cm loading width).

The aluminum mounting plates include multiple cut-outs designed for summer use. You receive four plates, each equipped with three magnets mounted on an adjustable joint that allows them to adapt to slightly curved surfaces. The cut-outs allow you to use straps to carry equipment such as paddleboards during summer. We are currently developing compatible straps with a mechanical closure that will be wrapped in a soft protective material to prevent any metal from scratching your vehicle.

This product can be installed on any vehicle with a steel roof. It will not work on vehicles made of aluminum such as Land Rover, Range Rover and some Ford models. For cars the recommended position is the roof, while vans allow installation on the roof, side panels and even the rear doors.

• It works on slightly curved or uneven surfaces thanks to custom joints that allow the magnets to adapt perfectly.

   

• Each mounting base, including the magnets and one end of the Thule SnowPack, requires a footprint of 270 mm x 160 mm.

Our mount is engineered so that the Thule SnowPack locks onto it in a way that prevents removing the mount without first opening the SnowPack itself, which is secured with a key lock. To remove everything, simply unlock and remove the SnowPack, then pull each magnetic plate diagonally, where magnetic resistance is lower.

The only realistic theft scenario would be someone opening the joints, removing the SnowPack and taking the skis or snowboards while leaving the magnets on the vehicle. If you live in a high-theft area or want maximum security, add Loctite to the joint screws once you’ve set the perfect angle. This makes disassembly significantly harder.

We personally used this system throughout the 2024–2025 winter season for more than 20,000 km, including repeated stretches of German Autobahn at 250–260 km/h on a station wagon.
