Magnets with Rope — Space Optimization
A rubber-coated magnet, an elastic rope and a carbon-fibre-reinforced hook. Place, stretch, hold. Nothing drilled, nothing glued, nothing modified.
Storage where there was none.
Each unit is one rubber-coated magnet paired with an elastic rope and an industrial-grade plastic hook. Put the magnet on any steel surface — inside the van, on a toolbox, under a shelf — and stretch the rope over what you want held. Order several and the vehicle gets a storage system instead of a pile.
10 kg pull force
10 kg (22 lbs) per magnet, rubber-coated neodymium.
Carbon fibre reinforced
Printed at 270 °C. Impact resistant, UV resistant. Plastic rather than metal — safer for your gear and for you.
Short 20 cm, long 40 cm

No tools at all
No drilling, no glue, no modifications. Move it whenever the layout changes.
What it holds
- Bottles, containers and gear inside the van while driving.
- Tools and equipment on metallic surfaces in the workshop.
- The interior of delivery vehicles, ambulances and service vans.
- Items mounted externally — the hook is UV resistant for outdoor use.
- Quick temporary storage anywhere there is a steel surface.
Specifications
Will it hold on your vehicle?
The rule: the magnet needs steel underneath. Most van panels are steel. Some are not.

The hook, and how it is made
The hook is a carbon fibre reinforced composite — industrial-grade plastic, one of the more expensive materials we buy by weight. Extremely durable, impact resistant, UV resistant. It is printed at 270 degrees Celsius, so it takes heat before it deforms.
We build with advanced 3D printing and the highest quality materials available. That method leaves its marks: you may see thin layers or slight waviness in the surface. Anything with a noticeable defect is separated out and never shipped.
The original. Invented here.
Tactic Engineering invented the magnetic vehicle mount. Designed and prototyped in Switzerland, stress-tested on the road, first units shipped in December 2021. Every magnetic mount on the market today came after ours.
Every product we sell is designed, produced and hand-assembled in our Swiss workshop — the same place where we pioneered magnetic mounts for the van and overlanding industry. There is a reason the biggest names in the off-road and van industry sell our products and not the copies: because this is what we do, and we do it from Switzerland.
Also from Tactic Engineering
- Magnetic Quick Release — Recovery Boards — mount your recovery boards magnetically, no rack needed.
- Single Magnet — M8 Thread — heavy-duty standalone magnet for custom mounting.
- Single magnets with Stainless Steel Ring — the same magnet with a stainless steel ring for straps, cord and carabiners.
