The factory wireless charger sits under a lid. It traps heat, it will not take a modern iPhone flat, and you cannot see the screen while it charges. This is where the phone goes instead.
New: black version, on trial from 23 October until 22 November 2026. It costs CHF 5 more because each mount is painted by hand with an industrial chemical coating.

Why this exists.
Porsche built a wireless charging pad into the centre console and put a lid over it. In practice Taycan owners stop using it within weeks. The lid traps heat, so the phone throttles on a warm day. The camera bump on an iPhone 14 and newer stops it lying flat against the pad. And with the lid closed you cannot see the screen, which is the one thing you wanted the phone for.
The alternatives are worse. A vent clip loads the air blades of a car whose interior was machined, not moulded. An adhesive pad leaves a mark on the dash that never comes out and shows up under sun. A suction cup on the windscreen is restricted in several European countries and gives up the first properly hot day.
So it goes in the cupholder. That is the one place in a Taycan where a mount can sit without touching a vent, a screen, the leather or the Alcantara. It pushes in, the rubber ring locks it, and it comes out in seconds leaving nothing behind.

Does it fit my Taycan?
Yes. The cupholder is identical across the whole Taycan range, so one mount fits every variant, Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo, every model year, left- and right-hand drive. It pushes into the cupholder, no tools.
Which charger or head do I get?
Two options on the same base: the MagSafe kit with a MagSafe-compatible Qi2 wireless charger (up to 15 W over USB-C, iPhone 12 and newer), or a Quad Lock® adapter for your existing Quad Lock® MAG wireless charging head, sold separately by Quad Lock.
Can I adjust the angle of my phone?
Yes. The ball joint lets you tilt the phone within its range to the angle you like, and the knurled nut gives more grip when you tighten it to lock the position.

Looks good, fits very well in the cupholder.
The magsafe Taycan charger that sits in one of the cupholders seems to me to be the ideal location to charge and access a cellphone. Previously I had a similar product custom designed which work pretty well but was not a snug fit. That is not the case with Tactic's product: it fits great. One word of caution: although the attachment swivels, it doesn't swivels 360° meaning that one should never try to move the swivel in a direction where there is resistance. I also found the tech support at Tactic very responsive and helpful.
The magsafe for the Taycan fits perfectly. Great product. And the team is really helpful and responsive.
