Why we built this
We have sold multiple thousands of the previous recovery board supports. A year of off-road use made one thing clear: faster access to the boards is worth more than anything else on the rack. Lines we would have skipped, we now take — because getting the MaxTrax off is no longer a job.
Tactic Engineering designed the first magnetic mounts for camper vans, in December 2021. Every part is designed and manufactured in Switzerland, hand-assembled in-house. Tool-free installation in under a minute.

Which MaxTrax boards does this fit?
MaxTrax MK2, LITE and XTREME. Select your model, then pick a kit size. These mounts are cut for MaxTrax only.
How many mounts do I need?
Two per board. The 4-mount kit carries 2 boards, the 8-mount kit carries 4 boards.
Do I need a roof rack or drilling?
No. No rack, no drilling, no glue. Tool-free installation in under a minute, and the boards come off in seconds when you pull the pins.
How strong is it?
Each rubber-coated neodymium magnet (90 mm diameter) gives 56 kg of pull.
What is in the kit?
Rubber-coated magnets, quick-release pins in carbon fibre reinforced plastic, a rubber-coated cable so you do not lose the pins, and transparent safety stickers. An anti-theft cable with a marine-grade lock is available separately.
What about shipping and warranty?
Orders ship within 48 working hours from our Swiss facility. EU VAT and duties are included. The warranty is 2 years worldwide, and every part is sold separately.

J'aime le produit mais j'ai eu la mauvaise surprise de payer 16,50 de dédouanement tout de suite à FedEx pour avoir mon colis et plus tard j'ai reçu une facture supplémentaire de 46€ !!! J'ai fait une réclamation mais FedEx m'a confirmé que je devais payer, les 16,50 € étant des frais et taxes et les 46€ les droits de douane... J'ai demandé à Tactic Vans si ils avaient souvent ce cas de figure en vendant à l'étranger mais pas de réponse. Bref si vous achetez depuis la France attendez-vous à payer 62,50€ en plus.
